The Menands Union Free School District Board of Education is seeking an exceptional educational leader to fill the position of Superintendent. The current superintendent, Kathy Meany, is retiring at the end of the 2012-13. The Board of Education is working with the District Superintendent of the Capital Region BOCES to conduct the search process.
school board has developed a comprehensive
interview process for the top candidates that involves the
community and staff. Three rounds of interviews are planned, beginning in Mach 2013. The school board will conduct the first round of interviews and select semi-finalists to continue in the process. Groups of faculty, staff, parents and community members will interview the semi-finalists and report their findings to the school board. Their feedback will be
used to select finalists to participate in a final round of interviews with the school board. The board may make a
