BOCES Opening Day focuses on preparing students for
the 21st Century (Sept. 2006)
As our students enter this
increasingly globalized world or "flat world," are we
preparing them with the skills they need in the 21st
Century? How can we help our component districts close
the achievement gap and raise graduation rates?
These are the questions BOCES District Superintendent Dr.
Barbara Nagler posed to staff on Opening Day. Stressing
that no one person can change education, she
encouraged everyone to be part of the solution by
welcoming new approaches into the work we do in our
individual roles and as an organization. View
