Area educators are invited to attend more than 15 seminars and workshops — created by and for educators — in math, English, science, social studies, data analysis and more. Get a jump-start on the next school year in a fun, meaningful and supportive atmosphere.

Summer Training & Workshops

This is a great opportunity to:

  • Brainstorm ways to lead instructional improvement.
  • Learn how to develop a stronger learning community in your school through mentoring.
  • Deepen your understanding of data analysis.
  • Identify and create ways to prepare students for state tests.

Sample course topics include: Reducing anxiety-related or oppositional behavior in class; making history with the new social studies state tests; using data to drive your PLC to excellence. Sessions will be facilitated by BOCES instructional coaches Lisa Ball and Theresa Billington, along with other education professionals.

Distributed Leadership with James Spillane

Join Northwestern University professor James Spillane for a discussion on instructional improvement in schools on Wednesday, July 26, 2017. Course details and registration link.
