Substitute Coordination Service

Dee Mucci, coordinator
(518) 464-5127,

900 Watervliet-Shaker Road, Suite 102
Albany, NY 12205

The service saves districts time and personnel costs by coordinating a network of districts that need substitutes and substitute applicants. The service consists of two components:

Substitute Calling

Using an Internet-based system, substitute and teacher databases, help desk personnel and priority lists, this service assigns the best-qualified substitutes to fill teacher absences while giving districts immediate access to data. The Help Desk is open 5:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Substitute Registry

The registry supports districts by recruiting, interviewing, orienting and recommending substitutes for district approval. It also tracks OSPRA clearance and Hazard Communications (Right-to-Know) training status of substitute teachers and substitute applicants.

Do you want to be a substitute?

2014 Expectations and Survey (returning substitutes only)

Substitutes active with our service in the 2013-2014 school year need to complete a Summer Survey to remain active for 2014-2015. An online survey is available below. Print, complete and return through the mail by August 15, 2014. A returning substitute cannot be activated for the next school year without the signed survey received in our office.
