Employee Assistance Program
(Back
to Human Resources home page)
Our
Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is a voluntary, confidential
service designed to assist employees and their families with
personal problems.
WHAT
KIND OF HELP?
The EAP can help with just about any problem:
- Emotional
- Family
- Financial
- Anxiety
- Alcohol
- Drugs
- Legal
- Marital
- Depression
The EAP
is a crisis intervention, counseling and referral service.
Depending on the nature of the problem, and the best
available help, an employee is referred to a service, or
private practitioner prescreened by the Coordinator.
WHO
MAKE REFERRALS TO EAP?
An
employee can go to EAP
on his/her own by calling the Coordinator who will arrange an
appointment at a convenient time.
An employee may also be referred by someone else, such
as a supervisor or union leader.
Supervisors, when they detect a serious drop in
performance, are encouraged to refer an employee to the EAP if
a personal problem seems to be the cause.
The decision to go to the EAP Coordinator is still up
to the employee and the service is confidential.
SO CALL YOUR EAP
--You'll
be glad you did!
