POSITION:                English as a Secondary Language Teacher Anticipated

 

LOCATION:              To Be Determined

 

Basic Function:         To provide English as a Second Language instruction to students making the transition from a native tongue to full literacy.

 

Qualifications:           Bachelor’s Degree and New York State Certification as TESOL required.

 

Responsibilities:        To provide instruction to small groups and individual English Limited Learners (ELL) students.

                                    To collaborate with classroom teachers of ELL students.

                                    To travel between schools and districts as needed.

 

Starting Date:                        September, 2008

 

Application Deadline:           June 1, 2008

                                                                         

Starting Salary:         Dependent upon column and step of current contract.  The selected applicant will be subject to a fingerprint supported criminal history background check in accordance with SAVE Legislation effective July 1, 2001.
